Hedge Fund Mgr Tells Bedtime Tale about Farts
Everyone has ambitions and passions that don’t necessarily align with their chosen profession. Or maybe for Crescendo Partners founder Eric Rosenfeld, writing a children’s bedtime story was just a creative outlet. A way to deal with the pressures of the job. Some people play golf or get massages. Others seek a little extra-marital stress relief (see Tiger, Jesse James). Who am I to judge? Whatever works and keeps you performing, right?
But Rosenfield knew he had a story to tell and he wasn’t going to take the Michael Lewis route and delve into the intricacies of the financial world. No, the story that he longed to pen was something almost poetic in its profundity.
According to City A.M.
“Mrs Buttkiss is the charming tale of a big woman with a big secret,” Rosenfeld writes of his meisterwerk. “She’s been holding in a fart…forever. What happens when Mrs. B finally lets it out? Will her greatest fears be realised? Or will the outcome be…magical?”
No, I kid you not. Apparently, our investment guru chanced upon the idea when trying to settle down his three young children for bed, and hasn’t looked back since.
I really would love to know how many redemptions are issued in the next quarter.
